a) All low power devices such as Lights, Fans, TV, PC, Mobile etc. run from low voltage DC internally. There is a step down converter as part of the driver circuit inside the appliances. This step down converter works the same way with DC or AC input as long as the voltage is high enough.
b) Appliances that uses transformer inside, may not work with DC.
a) Yes, Optimizer is designed to match with package resource (PV and Battery) and allowed load capacity. Therefore, the models are designed with 10W increment in load capacity.
b) Current models support 10W-60W load with up-to 130Wp Panel Size.
a) No, Each Optimizer model has internal power limit which limits the maximum power that can be drawn from the System.
b) If the user tries to over-load the system, the output voltage will collapse and will turn off the load. If the load remains connected, it will continue to turn ON and OFF to alert the user to disconnect the excess load.
a) The fan may run by collapsing the system voltage. In that case, lights and other standard appliances will turn OFF. This is not a prescribed mode of operation.
